Yeah, it will be much better when they cut the price when it needs a price cut (in September). Cutting it now wouldn't do much. Look at XB1's price cuts last year and tell me which one was most effective

oh man,. soo many to choose from.  well titanfall bundling was exciting but not really my kind of game.  kinect unbundling was a great move but i can't get too excited about not having to pay for shame i don't want.  now the early holiday price cut was dramatic but technically only a "temporary sale".   ..but then there was the extra bundling of all those assassin's creed games.   ...and then a 3rd game on top of those assassin's creed games.   ...and then a 3rd game and a controller on top of those assassin's creed games.

i'm going to have to go with the price cut that happens next month.  always and forever i'm going to pick the next price cut that's just around the corner...

it floated down a lot slower than dying light or evolve did.  this game won't have amazing legs but it should have a good 2nd and 3rd week.

Bloodborne will push it over 50% for sure.

The ones when it had already started to build up momentum, not the price cuts trying to turn that momentum back into the positive.
Yeah and momentum starts building just before the holidays. Trust me, Sony ain't going to do a price cut this early.

Dec. 28, 2013: 4.2 million
Mar. 2, 2014: 6 million

Difference: 1.8 million (64 days)

Jan. 4, 2015: 18.5 million
Mar. 1, 2015: 20.2 million

Difference: 1.7 million (56 days)

So it has matched last year's start even with the huge Japan launch. Great, this suggests it'll have a nicely higher baseline this year

yup. specially with march, april, may, and june all having at least one big game releasing that will certainly push hardware.

Bloodborne, battlefield and MLB in march
Mortak Kombat in april
Witcher in may
Batman in june (i can see this pushing A LOT of consoles)

i think July and August will be the lost months of the year for PS4, unless they get a price cut during that time.

Second years are supposed to be much better than firsts. A price cut only when sales go down is the wrong way to look at it.

the best time to cut the price is late august or start of september though. you get a nice boost then a steady stream of games start coming to keep momentum through the holidays. imagine a price last week of august, then metal gear releasing the week after, 2 days later mad max, then other games in september, octobor through november. then the holidays.

Yeah I expected PS3 version to do a lot better than PS4 version. PS4 surprises me yet again

Dr. Pezus

3DS keeps falling. Vita decent but drops. XB1 drops after the massive boost last week. PS3 gets a small boost.
