Consoles are still just selling whatever is made.  
Japan is likely getting a higher portion of Series S consoles compared to other regions.

A lot of consoles are getting bought from Japan and being sold elsewhere.  

So Xbox isn't doing as good as the numbers would suggest.  

It's going to be at least a year before supply meets demand.

S is widely available.

Not in Japan.

At least here, even when the console is widely available it is still selling everything it has on the shelf.  It just takes 10 hours instead of 5 minutes like the PS5.  

The Series S is still very much selling what is being made, they're not sitting on shelves for weeks.

It's really crazy how far Sony has come in the past 2 generations.

During the PS2 gen, the top 5 selling Sony games was basically:
Gran Turismo 3 ~15 million
Gran Turismo 4 ~12 million
God of War 1 ~5 million
God of War 2 ~ 4 million
Jak and Daxter 1 ~4 million

PS4 gen:
God of War 19.5 million
Uncharted 4 16+ million
Spiderman 13 million (very outdated)
Horizon 10 million (very outdated)
The Last of Us 10 million


Neither list is really complete. Spiderman was only a year's worth of sales, GT Sport is probably up there too.
Still the growth is crazy.

But yeah, their first party sales increase is really impressive. Their core studios have become industry veterans and some of the biggest devs in the world

i'm so tired of hearing all the BS about sony favoring PC over console and how there is no reason to own a console.   just fudge off people.
