Well definitely not 2019 though.

I think this is aiming at late 2017 but could well be delayed to early 2018. I just think it's good to know that shooting is advancing well, Uncharted 4 didn't finish shooting until October 2015 for instance.

Let's be real for a sec. Knack isn't a game that has any hype and Sony knows this. They aren't going to announced it that far in advance. If Knack was aiming for late 2017 they'd announce it at next E3. Plus Shinobi and Co were teasing Knack for last E3. It must have been ready to show back then.

Oh, lol yeah I remember reading something like that.

But Knack 2 really is an interesting case, summer would be fitting, but I feel like they would have at least given some release date indication in that case.

What are you rambling on about here? Nobody said anything about Sony forcing them to do TLOU Part 2. What I'm saying is that they wouldn't say this thing is super early in development, if it wasn't for a reason. Stop ignoring what Sony is openly telling you.

i agree. they wouldnt have said its still early in development if its coming anytime soon. i think they are aiming for a holiday 2018 release, thats 2.5 years after UC4. and they already have a lot of work done on this, and an engine ready for PS4. i think its a holiday 2018 game, and it might be pushed back till Q1/2 of 2019

what i do hope happens is that the UC4 DLC team moves on to making a new IP.

E3 2016: Sony's Added a New Studio to Its First-Party Family - Push Square

Sounds like Sony has another first party studio. SIE San Mateo. They've done light development help in the past, as well as being the home of Pixelopus similar to how Project Siren is found within Japan Studio, but now it seems they're taking a more active role. They are assisting in the development of Insomniac's Spiderman game and Impulse Gear's Farpoint VR game.

Also, North West Studio is now named SIE Manchester Studio. They're still a VR studio.
