Are 4K visuals really the best use for Project Scorpio and PlayStation Neo? • Eurogamer.net

Quote from: Concluding Paragraph
Several sources have indicated to me that PlayStation Neo launches this year, despite its E3 no-show. If that is the case, it'll be interesting to see how developers utilise its resources, and whether 4K really is the focus. And we can be equally as sure that Microsoft will be watching just as intently as it gears up for its own next-gen roll-out.

I'm still disappointed by the change from Lily Bergamo to that.

i wish we'd get direct feed of at least half of the demo
I also wish they hadn't spoiled you-know-what in the trailer, even if it's only partially spoiled.

I love that after this E3 we're right back to the "Sony has no games coming out soon"-narrative.

Umbrella Corps, God Eater, Star Ocean, Fahrenheit, I Am Setsuna, Fairy Fencer F, Abzu, No Man's Sky, Bound, King of Fighters 14, Attack on Titan, God Eater 2, Hatsune Miku. Those are just between now and the end of August and obviously don't include last minute releases of small digital games.

Then for the last 4 months of the year you've got Dragon Quest Builders, The Last Guardian, World of Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo Sport, and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 so far. Dragon Quest Heroes 2 will probably get a Western release announced by TGS. This doesn't even include all the games for PSVR.

That's a minimum of 18 games between now and the end of the year without including VR. Compared to maybe 4 retail games, one of which is timed exclusive, and maybe a few digital-only games.

Pretty dang ironic after seeing this poll from GameFAQs.

Pretty dang ironic after seeing this poll from GameFAQs.
Well that's a bit ridiculous and says more about the community on Gamefaqs I think.

Perhaps, though the question did ask "based on what you saw at E3", not "based on the Big 3's first party's offerings".

I think people mean in terms of first party or Sony published titles, but yeah it's pretty stupid cause even if you reduce it to that then they still have 4 games coming out in the next 8 months without counting VR titles: TLG, GT Sport, Gravity Rush 2 and Horizon. I feel like you could almost include NMS as well, Sony did say they are treating that like a first party title after all.

By comparison MS has 5 if you count Dead Rising 4 even though we already know that that's just a timed exclusive, aside from DR4 they have Recore, FH3, Gears 4 and Halo Wars 2. Sea of Thieves is supposedly coming out around Halo Wars 2 as well, but who knows what "around" really means for a publisher.

So it's actually pretty dang comparable and it looks like uniformed people (including Spencer it seems) are just talking shame without basis at the moment. If we'd start including digital only or third party stuff then things would lean way more heavily towards the Playstation side.

Not really enjoying inFAMOUS SS. 1 and 2 are better. Maybe it picks up soon though...

Also bought a 2 TB HDD for my PS4 for 80 $

Gamefaqs is one of the worse Nintendo fanboy nests out there. Or at least it was, maybe they've been migrating

Btw Recore and DR4 are not first party

MS treats Recore as first party, they are publishing the game and own the IP. DR4 is co-published by MS I think, but yeah that one's definitely not first party, but you know dang well that people would find a way to include that game when making a list like that for MS.
