I really can't think of good people for Sony to buy.

Bluepoint and House Marquee don't make sense unless Sony is desperate. Sony would have bought the studios during development like they did with Insomniac, instead of waiting for them to release hits that increase their price. More likely they just have first say on publishing their next games.

Kojima Productions seems to want to be independent.

Everyone else makes too many xbox games.
Let's see if Sony buys Bluepoint right around September.

At a feverish moment for media M&A, Yoshida makes it clear that Sony is a buyer, not a seller. And he flatly disputes the notion that Sony doesn't have enough heft to compete on a global scale, given the parent company's resources and the increasing ties between Sony Pictures Entertainment and its corporate siblings.

"We have more room to captivate through cooperation," Yoshida said.

The executive points to Sony Pictures' partnership with PlayStation on the upcoming Tom Holland-starrer "Uncharted," adapted from a video game franchise, as an early example of the company's drive for more collaborations among its content and direct-to-consumer platforms. Last year, Sony Music teamed with Sony Pictures to produce the musical film "Cinderella," starring Sony Music artist Camila Cabello, for Amazon Prime Video.

"If you look at Sony's entire entertainment business, including games and music, it is approximately a $45 billion revenue company. It's not huge, but it's not subscale," Yoshida said.

Crazy that 45$ billion revenue isn't considered huge in this day in age

I feel like the past couple years, we have been getting fewer "insiders" leaking stuff, but more journalists leaking stuff.

There hasn't been many reddit or other random insiders leaking out anything that really looks accurate in a while.

Instead it seems like Bloomberg/VGC/Push square/the like have been publishing actual articles about games studios have been working on.

Like all of the reports about Twisted Metal. There have not been any random leaks about it, it's just been stuff from journalists.

It's a bit odd now that I think of it.
