TEch specs/reveal are less than a week away. closest prediction gets a scorpio iou.

I Think the leaks are true. Jaguar cpu, 12 gb ram, and 6 tflop gpu. Basically stronger than ps4 pro but not anything crazy.

NAme and price are saved for E3. Called Xbox One X. Costs $399. MS has talked about it being expensive but I think this was so they can "shock" us with the price. Digital Foundry talks specs this week and makes it sound so much better than ps4 pro, and then MS later announces it's the same price. Gets lots of positive buzz. Sure ps4 pro will be cheaper by the time Scorpio releases, but that doesn't matter.

(Or it'll be $499 and MS is just announcing it in a stupid way)

HAs an lcd on the front of the console and an hdmi output just for vr. No hdmi in.

REleases in October with Halo 6.

That's mostly not leaks, that's mostly just what MS announced themselves last E3.

MS only said 8k, 320 gbs bandwidth, and the 6 tflops. So 2/3 are leaks ::)

Seems like DF was about to leak the Scorpio XDK specs about not hiring 6TFs (4.8TFs) but Window Central's Jez said in a podcast this info is false because they Target to reach 6TFs with June update for XDK.

Yes looks like the actual Scorpio didn't hit 6TFs lol at least June XDK update.

Xbox One X.

Is that 4.8 a typo? Surely you mean 5.8?

That'd be so stupid. Sure they upclocked the XBO at the last minute but if MS fails to hit 6.0 on launch day they'll look stupid.

No typo... actual XDK is about 80% of final target XDK... that is what devs are working right now.

DF had a article about that today but MS called them to show the "final" specs with Forza running at 4k... so DF leak was delayed to Thursday.

Wow that's incredible that that part hasn't gotten more news. This reveal is just damage control essentially...

Wait, just so I understand this....Digital Foundry was supposedly going to run a story saying that Scorpio wasn't hitting its marks - i.e. it is underpowered - and this podcast is a preemptive rebuttal - saying that Digital Foundry was testing Scorpio that was just 80% unlocked...?
So the "Scorpio news" was to be bad?  And this podcast is saying, basically, hold your horses - it isn't ready yet?  ('move along; nothing to see here.')

lol not exactly, I'm not very eloquent.
 Timeline goes like this:
 - I received two separate bits of info from separate sources saying Scorpio's dev kit needed June XDK update to hit its launch targets.
 - I HEARD that DF or someone was going to leak Scorpio's specs.
 - As I wasn't sure whether or not DF or whoever would know about the XDK not being completed, I decided it was time to leak that info as it would become pertinent following any leaks they had. Any assertions that Scorpio isn't hitting 6 TF would've been false, as the XDK wasn't ready yet.
 - After posting that, I found out that DF or whoever WASN'T leaking, but was instead collaborating with Microsoft to get a look at the system. I confirmed that info with several sources.
 - Finding that out confirmed other bits of info I had about Forza Motorsport 7. So I figured it was time to post it all up.

Let's see the DF article in few days but yes MS did damage control because they know even if not final XDK a leak with actual 4.8TFs could make a big damage to Scorpio launch.

I'm more surprised they didn't reach the 6TFs target yet... June looks to be a bit late for a November release... at least most games won't be based in full specs because devs are working with underpowered XDKs.

BTW Jez podcast was just a reason based in DF underpowered leak which they choose to delay due MS inviting them to explain and show the final target specs with Forza 7 (you know MS will show a PC running Forza 7 instead actual Scorpio XDK).

My prediction.

  • Xbox One X
  • TSMC 16nm 8-core Jaguar based CPU @ 2.5Ghz
  • TSMC 16nm Vega based GPU with 3072SPs @ 980Mhz
  • 12GB 384bits GDDR5 @ 6.6Ghz

These are the base specs.

Dr. Pezus

Let's be honest though, it wouldn't really matter if it was 4.8 or 6tf for the market

I agree but there is a issue... they already marketed it with a huge 6TF powerful console ever since reveal... I believe they will reach 6TFs but they are having issues to reach the price target with that spec.

One think is Sony selling a $599 console (that hurt the brand but they can reach sales successful at end like PS3) and another is MS selling a $599 console.

I will try to explain... MS Brasil tested Scorpio last week and they did a interview with Inside Xbox Brasil... the interview will be out this week and he said it is a international interview like MS pushing the marketing for it.

So this week will be fun with all outlets getting touch with MS Scorpio news.

Let's see...

- No name reveal.
- dang nabbit I guess Jaguar can't reach 2.5Ghz after all.
- Instead 3072@980Mhz they used 2560@1175Mhz... same power different number of CUs and clock.
- 326GB/s... so close.
