They'd love to make a port, but they are focusing on the PC version.  I'm going to say a PS4 version will probably happen.

Goals are tricky sometimes though.  But you know that.

No.

With minecraft you can grow trees and replenish the world. In the forest you only have short term survival. It needs a goal or it needs to open up more crafting options.
