Also has an extended version which is much less "focused"

What a waste. Are they not expecting sell out at launch already?  One commercial one night won't help them weeks/months later since you can't go out and buy that week

That's a really great ad. Showing off zelda and a decent preview of the Switch's best feature.

The long version is an excellent video... or at least it was before they got to the weird 1-2 switch modes. I have no idea why they would put the fudgy milking minigame into an ad, that shame is embarrassing.

It's like Nintendo is not aware of the ironic symbolism.

i wish nintendo would put as much production value into their games as they are into their marketing.

not sure what they plan to accomplish with a super bowl ad.  that isn't memorable in a timeslot where a lot of memorable ads will be launched.

@bolded: dont get me started

as for the commercial. its most likely to just create some mind share for the product, not try sell any extra units at launch or anything. this thing has been announced for like just 3 months now, barely anything was shown since a few weeks ago. a lot of people dont know this thing exists. this is just to get people to know "hey, this is a thing"

It wouldn't surprise me.

The champagne game looks to be even worse for that as well.

Zelda looks great.
Mario Kart is Mario Kart as always.

I think they are doing a pretty decent job of marketing this.  Way better than the Wii U.  Don't think most people realized that existed as a separate console.

But they are showing off the features pretty well.  You know what it is doing.  Nintendo just needs to keep advertising like this.  And they really need to push games.  Push games really flipping hard.  New IPs, old favorites in their best form.

If they do that, I think the Switch could end up being the second Nintendo home console to outdo its predecessor.  All the Nintendo home systems have sold worse than the one before it, except the Wii.
Arms looks better than I first thought.  1-2Switch is a pretty stupid thing, but it's pretty much in a class all its own for that.
