Not a bad price. Interesting that there is a range. So they'll have different levels of service? That's kind of odd

Or they are so inept they are still figuring it out a month before launching the system

I mean,  what other possiblity is it? Either you can get online to play mp or you can't. And what I find funny is they name the subscription as a perk to allow them to be able to offer those old dog games. Like,  we should be grateful to pay for online to allow them to offer us crud

2-3000 yen? So they're not even sure yet?

Not as bad as I was expecting.  Good they know they aren't worth that much. ;)
(At least their online isn't).

Okay? The system launches in a month and it will have access to online. Details like how much that will cost should be well known at this point

kitler53

too much  for me to ever consider paying for it.

switch would be for me (if i ever get one that is) a secondary console only for exclusives.  since 3rd party seems barren that means nintendo games and nintendo doesn't make many games with online in them.  it's cheap but still too much.

Nice. That's cheap. That's like two lunch breaks.

And you get awesome old school Nintendo games with added online play.

just shows how much of a fudgy joke nintendo is at the moment. their entire online focus with the switch is turning out so horrible its hard to believe.

but the system is releasing in a month. those who are buying the system should know whats coming to it and how much it will cost. the fact that nintendo is hiding so much information just shows how incompetent they are and how anti consumer they can be.

what are the official specifications of the switch? before anybody says it doesnt matter because "graphics dont matter". i think a consumer has a right to know exactly what he is buying. who would agree to buy a smartphone without knowing its specs? who would agree to buying a PC without knowing how powerful it is? why is it ok for Nintendo to hide the specifications of the specs?

why arent nintendo coming out and being clear about the online functions and what is needed and required to run them? their wording surely seems to indicate that its run through a smart phone. but it isnt clear, and it doesnt take much to notice that people arent getting it? why arent they clearing it up? the most likely reason is because they know if they cleared it up, and indeed confirmed that they need a fudgy smartphone to do basic and standard things like cross game chat and managing lobbies, it would create a very negative backlash. so best thing to do is just let the confusing be, and let the consumer figure it out once they already bought the system and are stuck with it.

their online infrastructure is clearly such a mess that it isnt even ready for the launch of the system, and will be introduced around half a year after the systems launch, it doesnt spell any confidence in their online offers, and yet they cant even tell the consumers exactly how much it will cost? what kind of battleship is this.

The second they announced it was subscription based they should have known how much to tell the consumer. It's such a minor detail that shouldn't be that hard to get the message across

If that detail wasn't hammered down yet then they weren't ready to show it off
