-2014: http://www.gdconf.com/news/gdc_state_of_the_industry_ps4_/

2013 had Wii U at 4.6 making a game and 6.4 on "will make" a game, while ps4 and Xbox One were in 11% both
2014 had ps4 at 20% and Xbox One at 17% with Wii U stuck at 4%

This year there were more devs though

i know it is sarcasm but it basically confirms what we all suspected.

western developers tend not to support nintendo.  western developers tend not to support handhelds (anymore).  clearly western developers don't want to develop for switch.

i honestly feel bad for guys like superchuck.  he still thinks there is a good chance that RDR2 will be announced for switch tonight.  such youthful optimism and ignorance.

After Wii U, why would any dev bet on the switch? RDR2 on switch would only happen if Nintendo paid or Switch sold great.

Plus the poor hardware complicates things. I think Switch is more likely to get mobile upports than ps4 downports.

But on the bright side, there will be fewer cancellations.

The nintendo fans i've seen talk are all thinking about switch the wrong way.  they looked at the specs when the system is docked and said to themselves that those specs are close enough to xbox one to get downports with a reduction in resolution.

none of them are even considering the game still has to function when the system is undocked.

vita was this "console on the go" thing that sony did and it certainly got a lot of the lower speced ps4 games.  the thing about ps4/vita is supporting both platforms is not manditory.  with switch it effectively is.  but whatver,.. i look forward to years of whinying that developers are lazy pieces of shame for not supporting switch with ps4/xbox big AAA multiplats.  it's clearly developers problems because now that science has invented magic...

So,  what's the spin? I remember fans saying no one announcing games because switch nda's.  Which made absolutely no fudgy sense.  How could Nintendo stop you from talking about your game. Especially when other studios have talked about their switch projects. This to me would be reason to assume no one is talking about switch projects

A) survey is meaningless because it it biased to indies and they don't have dev kits yet.
B) who cares only nintendo makes games worth playing.
