Crackdown 3 Development Has Been 'Rough' Says Insider

Says development was definitely rough but according to his sources, the game is still on its way and wasn't in the same boat as Scalebound.

I'm sure the use of Cloud Super Power is the issues... they didn't find a way to work with so huge internet lag.

Of course it works if you use Intranet but when you go to internet lol I can see the mess and a hell of game code crashing.

Legend

We should make bets on what will happen with this game.

  • Canceled
  • Released but a shell of what was planned
  • Released as originally advertised

My bet is on the middle one. It's a small team so development is cheaper and after the negative reception to Scalebound's death, I doubt MS is looking forward to another major cancellation.

i'll bet on canceled.

they missed their summer 2016 beta by half a year now with absolutely no follow-up.  the thing is in trouble.  fable legends had far more media and a public beta and still got canceled.

alternatively,
crackdown 3 becomes a scorpio exclusive.  the game is doing great,.. it just needed 6 teraflops of local cloud processing to work.

I'm going to bet on "released but a shell of what was planned". Microsoft has put almost all its eggs in the Games As A Service (GAAS) basket. Crackdown 3 will be a low budget title with a big emphasis on multiplayer. Expect a lot of microtransactions.

Max King of the Wild

I'm going to say released and with the full power of xb1 secret sauce
