According to a report from Express.co.uk, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Armored Core developer FromSoftware has told Japanese website 4Gamers that it is working on some ambitious new titles. Furthermore, Bloodborne producers Teruyukui Toriyama and Masaaki Tamagiwa have said that one of the studio's new games would likely launch in 2017.

Hopefully their VR game is a full game.

If Sony could announce Bloodborne 2 at E3 and release it during the holidays that would be the two natural pines.

I would personally love that. But would bloodborne do good in the holidays? I think it would be over shadowed by the bigger releases, and it would lose sales. Releasing in Q1/Q2 is better, as it wouldn't have a lot of competition, and it has a spotlight bigger for itself.

Also, I doubt Sony would announce bloodborne and release it this year, when they have a lot of other games announced from last E3 that probably won't make it this year. I think if bloodborne is announced this year (just do it Sony!) It will release early next year. Just like how they did with the last game

I just went through the sources of that article and it's a little weird. This whole thing is based on an interview with a bunch of japanese gaming personalities. Problem is that nobody from FromSoft was part of these interviews. The people that are part of the interview and are mentioned in the article are producers from Sony that worked on Bloodborne.

So FromSoft themsevles don't seem to have teased anything, however the positive thing is that one of the Sony producers said (poor Google translation unfortunately):

Since "Bloodborne", the activity under the water is continuing, I think that it is good in 2017 to be something fruitful, what I had previously purchased. Please expect it.

Since he specifically mentions Bloodborne this could mean that he is talking about a sequel.

I don't think there'd be a problem with releasing a Bloodborne 2 during the holidays, the Soulsborne series has a very core fanbase that doesn't really seem to get distracted much by other games, I personally can't think of much that I'd take over Bloodborne 2. Also the first Bloodborne also only released 9 months after being announced and that was when it was technically still a new IP, now that it already has a following I woldn't be surprised, if Sony just cut the announcement to release frame down even further. Don't think their other releases bother them much in that regard.

Still need to try and complete bloodborne. Got to the shadows of yharnam and died like 10 times and just ended up moving to another game.

「Bloodborne」以降、水面下での活動が続いているので、2017年は、これまで仕込んでいたものが、何か実る年になれば良いなと思います。ご期待ください。

I think it's saying no Bloodborne in 2017. They have something else for the year.

Not enough.  :(

Japanese has like 2250 characters, and I can only read like 150 of them.  :P
I'm a failure, I accept that.

Well, if it's just reading Kanji then there's software for that.

Also Legend I've seen enough Anime to tell you that that's not it (well actually I've ran this through several programs and I really don't think that's what it says) :P

My guess is basically (consider it a localization.  ;) )   :

There has been a lot of work under the water since Bloodborne.
(not completely sure about the second sentence).
Please stay tuned.

I don't see anything to suggest a sequel, or something that isn't a sequel either.  Just something new to see in 2017.

Yeah, I guess it could be anything really. Still, not doing a Bloodborne 2 would be absolutely stupid (though that doesn't mean I'd put it past Sony) and if they are doing one then 2017 seems like the most logical year for its reveal at least.

But what a crazy year it would be for Sony Japan if they essentially released 4 retail games between December 2016 and December 2017.
