NeoGAF - View Single Post -  Atlus announces new Shin Megami Tensei for Switch (Unreal 4)

QuoteWelp, I have been told things from a source and he is usually right. Take with a grain of salt: -This proyect started as a PS4 game some years ago. -Now is PS4/Switch. -Nintendo and Atlus have been in talks of a timed exclusivity deal. I really trust this guy so thats why I post this.

Grain of salt naturally.

The reception amongst casuals seems to be fairly positive. $300 to them is a great price since they remember $400 and $500 for the PS4 XBO. They don't really care about power either.

I think the Switch will be sold out for a few months mostly due to extremely limited supply+Zelda. It's actually kinda smart to hardly have any other games at launch. Arms can release a month or two after launch once people have finished Zelda. Then Splatoon 2 a few months after that. Should be much better than the Wii U drought.

5 games at UK launch and only 4 out in the following two months. Oh dear. Oh fudgy dear.

Lineup for 2017 looks bad. It'd be a bit better if I liked the look of Mario and splatoon 2

UK lineup. Lol at Xenoblade being 2017
I am Setsuna is a launch game.

Also Xenoblade could be 2017. Easy Allies was talking about how the footage is so much more developed than the last Xenoblade's announcement.

Nintendo better hope they can get casuals on board.
Yeah, it really feels like they are treating Europe like the red headed stepchild here.

Apparently not in the UK

Woah I just realised. This didn't show ANY live gameplay or non game stuff. We still have no idea what the home screen looks like.

Also it seems the Switch has really good smartphone integration. You can use it for online features and parental controls. I'm somewhat worried the Switch won't be able to do these things itself. Like the Switch can basically only play games.

there is a thread on vgchartz that says switch doesn't have voice chat,.. it has integration with a smartphone app to do voice chat.

i think that sounds impossibly stupid but i dunno,.. nintendo is impossibly stupid.

That is too stupid for me to believe. I think the smartphone app might be needed for viewing friends and doing all those social features, but they can't possibly expect people to hold their phone to chat while playing online.
