The R9 290X is pretty similar in terms of performance, but use a lot of energy and get hot.

He'll if I would have read more on the r9s before I went with the amd 8 core, I might have choose to go with Intel.

Because I was wanting to keep the cpu and gpu in the same family. I didn't realize how hot the amd cards got and how power hungry they are.

Been having issues with my bluetooth adapter. I don't know what to do!
The wi-fi half works perfectly, but the bluetooth half has been non working!

That sucks. Hey, do you have coil whine with your card? It seems to a common complaint on new egg.

Yeah, seems to be a common complaint with the 970. Only reason not to get one, imo.
