Quote from: BasilZero on Jul 27, 2015, 12:14 AMI honestly wouldnt be surprised if we see it up and running next year or in early 2017 to be honest.

Xbox360 is a completely different system compared to the PS3.

Mainly the reason why we havent seen much PS3/Xbox360 emulation updates is because majority of the coders were working on other projects or had this sense of justice of not creating a emulator early in a systems' life.

The days of Dark_Alex are gone :(!
P.S. You quoted the wrong post then. The "You Dont Say" is a response to you saying the PS3 is more complex than the PSP.
Supposedly somehow the PS3 has been progressing faster.

Below, you can see the progression of conversation.

Quote from: Mmm_fish_tacos on Jul 27, 2015, 12:10 AMWill Anyone care though?
People that haven't played RDR will care.

Quote from: the-Pi-guy on Jul 25, 2015, 09:58 PMIt's very exciting.

Really hope those specs aren't necessary though.
I expect it'll be a few years away yet.
Quote from: BasilZero on Jul 25, 2015, 10:39 PMDoubtful - its more likely that the emulator isnt as polished as it should be.

The PSP emulator was completely unplayable for me back in 2012 - but now its playable after all sorts of new updates.
Quote from: the-Pi-guy on Jul 25, 2015, 11:06 PMPS3 is considered more complex, and is an order of magnitude more powerful than a PSP.  (40 ish actually)

Quote from: the-Pi-guy on Jul 26, 2015, 04:22 AMExactly I'm confused why you seem to be disagreeing with me.  :P
Quote from: BasilZero on Jul 26, 2015, 11:58 PMWhere did I disagree you with?
Quote from: the-Pi-guy on Jul 27, 2015, 12:04 AMDoubtful is a sign of disagreement.
Quote from: BasilZero on Jul 27, 2015, 12:08 AMSo you dont think Xbox360 emulation will take off in the next 2-3 years?

Probably even less than that.
Quote from: the-Pi-guy on Jul 27, 2015, 12:09 AMI said "a few years" and you said that was doubtful.  :P
I could see 3 years.

Let me explain again :o

QuoteDoubtful - its more likely that the emulator isnt as polished as it should be.

When I said "Doubtful" I was talking about the specs part that you mentioned as if you believed those were the supposed specs :P

QuoteIt's very exciting.

When I mentioned 2012 I meant it specifically because that is when I had upgraded my PC.

When the first PSP emulator came out it was unplayable. 3 years later and I play almost all of the PSP games (except for Tekken/Soul Calibur) at 60 FPS. I still have the same hardware.

Also my comment was towards the Xbox emulator which kinda ran few years ago compared to the PS3 emulator in which they recently (well last year) were able boot up the start/XMB screen.

You mentioned the PS3 to my PSP post o.O - which confused me - the way you explained it seemed like you were saying.....the PS3 is more complex than the PSP....which to my response was the "YOU DONT SAY :O" since everyone knows the PS3 is more powerful than the PSP ~_~.

Doubtful is a disagreement indeed - and I disagree those were the specs or close to what we actually need. Its probably gonna be far less than that.

Ditto.

Most of my dev programs will have issues out of the box. Best to wait for Sony to give the go ahead, vs blindly jumping in and hoping for the best.

Some of those might be exclusive to the beta. We'll have to wait to find out.

I think generally betas gather a lot more info.
Wouldn't see why that wouldn't be the case.

I'm going to read into all of it, but I am going to hold off a little bit while they get stuff figured out.

Apparently the DS4 doesn't work very well with some of the apps that emulate XInput. Apparently the service that they utilized is gone, so now when you have it set up that way, for games that utilize Xinput and dinput, it takes both inputs.

I hope those are just for testing purposes, to make sure that the final build is ready to go without a hitch.

505,191 wood collected
569,231 food collected
29,617 stone collected
250,055 gold collected

I lost 5433 units, and only killed 2423 units.  Dang war elephants. :P
I lost 3 buildings, and burned down 512.
