GAF vs Chertz: which do you dislike more?

ChertZ I guess. You can easily ignore stuff on GAF but it's harder on chertz

Pretty much this for me. I like Gaf because I only click on threads that seem like they would interest me(this includes avoiding the off-topic side).

With Chartz even the titles of the threads trigger me.

Yeah that's a problem I've found with teh chertz's moderation system. Thread titles are hardly edited yet can say pretty much whatever they want. It causes users to make threads for title visibility when a post in an existing thread should have sufficed.

I like both overall.  both definitely have their faults.  neither website has a fair moderator system.  gaf is designed better (no crazy pop up ads).  it also has a lot more discussion on a much broader range of topics.  

I like the community on chartz though.  the Playstation haters don't annoy me there because they're harmless and many are so salty you just feel sorry for them rather than hate them.  

Whereas on gaf in the japanese sales section it's riddled with Nintendo fans who downplay Playstation in Japan for years and generally just want to talk doom.  bunch of losers who'd actually annoy me if I regularly posted in there.  

Overall though I like both.

Don't have much issue with Chartz.

GAF has lots of issues, especially with moderation, political "discussion", pandering to extreme levels of political correctness, and Sony bias on the gaming side.

So imho GAF sucks more.

It's always been bad but this election it was less "be more liberal than you want" and more "be liberal or be labeled a racist piece of shame and banned" lol.

ya gaf on the politics side is utterly gross, and is a good example of what some call the regressive left.  you either agree with the hive mind, or get labeled a racist sexist biggot, and will promptly be banned. its been that way for a while but has steadily been getting worse and worse.   i think it reached a tipping point a while back where smart posters just stay in gaming, or leave the site, and the ones that remain in the OT section are the super left whiners

Yep, as I said before you don't necessarily need to have right-leaning positions to get pigpiled. If you're not left enough, then you'll get chewed out for being a racist and sexist monster. I consider myself more left-leaning than right-leaning, but I am not comfortable with expressing my opinions on GAF at all.

It's not even about being liberal.  
It's about having a very particular strain of ideology.  You could be even further left than pretty much every user there, and still get cruded on.  

I'm pretty confident some civil rights leaders would have been banned from there, for being too racist.

Yeah Im left leaning but supported Bernie since Clinton sucks.
Bernie supporters got shafted on gaf.
Like I love the gaming side and sports side of gaf. those communities are fantastic. its just the political side is kinda restrictive.

Politics GAF is weird. 

One bothersome thing is sometimes people will attack another user for something that was never said. 

And they hate it if you have a different interpretation of something. 
You might be called for racist for thinking something is racist for different reasons than most do.  Or something like that.
