So I'm going off of the chertz threads here, so I'm not sure how accurate this is, but it looks like Sony hasn't released an NPD statement since march it seems. I wouldn't really expect anything from them, even with PSVR. In fact even going forward I wouldn't necessarily expect them to make a statement for NPD (though they might do it specifically for the holidays).

I'd actually appreciate it, if Sony was serious about getting off of the NPD PR train, these statements are either completely boring because they don't give numbers anyway or they are just stupid spin, also it'd help with people that somehow got it stuck in their head that Sony does nothing but brag about sales nowadays (which is kinda funny actually, since MS stooped lower in these last four months alone to get anything to use for sales bragging than I can remember Sony doing even once in the past 3 years)

Though I don't think those rankings take bundle sales into account. The 2TB LE bundle and 1TB standard bundle were released last month.

Either way, not an encouraging placement for Gears 4.

I actually asked Aquamarine for the numbers last week, but I wasn't allowed to talk about it on the forums until today.

Thinking about it, I don't think the gap was surprising. The XB1 benefited from preorders of the Gears LE bundle, Gears 1TB bundle, and the Battlefield 1 bundles. The PS4 didn't have any new bundles, so its offerings looked stale compared to its competition plus a lot of consumers were holding off for the Pro.

My ps4 prediction was close but XBO had another great month.

I'm starting to wonder if November might actually be close.

I think November will be close because Microsoft's offerings are more aggressive than Sony's offerings. The Pro might help the PS4 eek out a win.
