Not hyped for this at all.  Psvr looks way more fun then this.  And if I want sit at home gaming I get that off the ps4 pro.

It's kind of hard to do something crazy in a Kart game.  Every game is pretty much different Karts, different tracks, different characters, same meat.
Also has new ability to have more than one items.

I'm expecting Splatoon remaster, Mario Kart Switch.
I haven't played enough Mario Kart to judge that but I'm sure plenty of people that actually play these games would say that there's more of a difference between numbered MK entries than just a couple new things here and there.

Quote from: Mmm_fish_tacos on Oct 20, 2016, 05:29 PMWell they both did well for Nintendo, so id guess new games.
Dunno, I feel like they are showing off launch games in this trailer, I'd be mighty impressed if they had Breath of the Wild, a new 3D Mario, new Mario Kart and new Splatoon at launch for the Switch.

Those "couple of things" make up 95% of the games content.
Gameplay only really sees minor changes.
What really are you supposed to add for racing games?

Physics and shame? There's definitely more to add and change than just straight up taking the last entry and adding a new character or a new track or something.

Mario Kart 8 added underwater races and antigravity.  If I remember right about the underwater.
I don't really consider altering physics slightly to be massive changes.

And it's not adding a new track.

Typically they make 16 brand new tracks with new obstacles.

So wait, are you arguing for or against what was shown in the video being a brand new Mario Kart game?

A new title like they always do.

Since 3D mario is new, I think it's safe to assume Mario Kart is new as well.

What is the change in splatoon that is making people think it's new?

The hair or something.

Also I'm not saying that there won't be a new Mario Kart on this system, I just don't think that the one we've seen in the trailer is that. I think that's an updated version of MK8 ready for the NS launch.

I understand.

But MK8 is only 6 months younger than Super Mario 3D world. I find it strange one would get a sequel while the other would just be ported.

Quote from: DerNebel on Oct 20, 2016, 04:13 PMAnyways I wanna know a couple more things, mainly price, power and games (don't care about battery life would probably never use the handheld version anyway), but I'm not completely put off by this. We have way too little info to actually tell if this is going to be successful, but I could see myself getting one for a couple Nintendo games.
My son is a gamer. His birthday is March. Needs to be 250 for me to be interested. I might stretch it to 300

Seems the tablet is actively cooled, at least when docked. Has large air vents.

I hate the button placement on the Jay controls.

Seriously, touch screen?
