Will the Xbox after scorpio release a year after ps5?

Microsoft has done a great job with the scorpio announcement. It's still a year away yet many fans can use it to make PS4 pro look less impressive. Scorpio might end up being a horrible overpriced console with little software support, but for the next 12 months none of that matters.

Do you think this tactic will repeat in a few years when PS5 is released, or will both systems once again launch at the same time?

It shall repeat till the end days!  MS does what PS don't and PS does what MS don't and both do what Nintendon't and Nintendo does what MSPS don't and the intellivision emerges as the greatest console of all time, play games and do homework with its calculator looking controllers making parents ecstatic the world over!

I don't necessarily think so, unless MS and Sony try pursuing different audiences. We have more than enough examples were releasing later has been detrimental to a system, even if it's more powerful, so I'd say MS would be stupid to continue this strategy of being a year late.

I mean this whole thing can easily turn sour for MS at the drop of their price announcement. If over the next year people start getting the Pro and word starts spreading that it's good and that it offers a good value, then that's a huge leg up for Sony. If Sony can have their Pro down to $350, maybe even including a game, by next holiday season, versus a Scorpio that's maybe $550, then that's actually a big problem for MS. Especially if we include the whole thing about games still having to work on the standard X1 (for a couple years at least), which means that the full potential won't be taken advantage of anyways (though normal consumers won't really understand that).

At the moment MS can still boast, but that will quickly change once people start getting their hands on PS4 Pros and start seeing that it's good product etc., cause at that point the reactions will shift more towards a "put up or shut up MS" if MS just keeps boasting about the Scorpio without the thing even being out.

I don't think we can make many predictions until Mircosoft figures out what Scorpio is going to be.  It also depends on what techniques AMD is allowed to take from the Pro and put in the Scorpio.  I don't personally trust Microsoft's engineers.

In all seriousness the fans that are using the scorpio to make the pro look weak were likely always scorpio buyers to begin with.

The reason I say this is I have seen people commenting on how weak the pro is compared to the scorpio and how the pro doesn't even do native 4k like the scorpio will.

We don't even know what the scorpio is!  Lol, it's not been released and what it is is vague and can change by release or it can get delayed or any other number of things yet it shames the ps4 pro.  It's the weirdest thing.

I'd say great marketing like you suggest but it's likely just people who'd of bought it anyways.  Heck, I have a couple ps4's and I'm not sure if a pro is worth it right now so when I'm ready maybe I'll have a comparison in the scorpio to judge by but as of right now it's about as real to me as a gryphon.

the scorpio is in a weird spot if you ask me.  xbox is weaker than ps4 and scorpio is stronger than ps4 pro,.. both both ecosystems are promising no exclusives and full BC. scorpio will be more expensive than ps4 pro but also being held captive bc to and even weaker system means games will have little to show for it.

so yeah,.. xbots can fanboy out for a few months but i think the end product is going to disappoint.
