When we visited Respawn to learn more about Titanfall 2's single-player and multiplayer we asked whether or not the game will be part of EA Access and Origin Access. Back then they hadn't decided yet, but said that they doubted it. Now they've contacted us about their final decision.
Titanfall 2 will not be part of EA Access and Origin Access when it launches. This means that PC and Xbox One Players won't get early access, try it out for free, or discounts when it launches October 28. They clarify that it might get included in the future, but at least not this year.
Are you disappointed, or have you made your decision whether or not to buy it?

That's an odd decision isn't it?  Isn't that part of EA's game promotion marketing now?  Play it early on EA access?
Is this where I talk favorably about myself?

Maybe EA access isn't working and is costing money?

Ludicrous Speed

It took awhile for the first one to be included as well.

It would make sense as a give away to wait but no early access is odd.

Possible I guess.  No early access to the game seems strange.

Not really. The first game took a long time to be included in any fashion of EA Access. Unlike all other EA games, you didn't even get discounts for buying it or the DLC as an EA Access member.

Respawn owns the IP and the deal with EA was part of their EA Partners or whatever program before EA killed the division, so it seems Respawn has some control over when it goes onto EA Access and in what form. After all the negativity from the tech tests, maybe they just don't want people getting access to the full blown MP days early. That is my guess. A lot of diehard TF fans hated the gameplay in the tech tests and while Respawn did change some aspects during the tests to make it more like the original, it's still not nearly up to par and they might fear negative word of mouth getting out before release.

That's a good point. EA do not have full control of the IP.

Ok, I Own titanfall but don't use EA's program.
Besides the weird grappling hook I didn't have a problem with the movement.  I still dislike the bots and wish they'd do away with them in favor of higher player counts.

I'm really stoked for the campaign. It looks like you'll actually have some kind of emotional bond with your Titan.
