Because we are figuring out ways to feed more people and stuff.

Watch the first 5 min, and get hooked and watch the rest!  (Or skim it like I did.)

Space is still a major issue though. There's a lot of people living in slums or similar conditions. If the population keeps increasing we can never solve that.

I just don't see any up sides to increasing world population. An increasing population only causes more problems to solve.

The video pretty much talks about all that.
-Poverty (The world is getting better, and more and more people are getting out of poverty).
-Population increasing (Population won't increase continuously)

Legend

I'm against a bigger population since I like nature and open space. The national parks are already way too crowded for example.

Dr. Pezus

2-3 perhaps. Not in a hurry to have one though

I'm not saying the world is overpopulated right now, or that its close to being overpopulated. I just think that there's not any good enough reasons for an increase in population. There's plenty of ways, as you say, which we could deal with supporting an increasing population but it would be better if we just didn't have to do that.

As Legend said, the world is a beautiful place and if the population increases too much we're going to be building on more open spaces like national parks, chopping down more rain forests etc.

After that maybe we will rethink about the possibility of more.

Do you plan to have the same wife for all of them? That kinda limits the max quantity.

Hence the 'as many as I can'. I like big families.
