Anyone else think the scorpio is just a premium pre-built PC you pay extra for with propaganda targeted towards the uninformed? "Highest quality pixels" reminds me of "Blast processing." Not to mention it will probably have bad software considering the Xbox One and microsofts recent past. Seems like they know it will fail so they decided to rack up sales on past exclusive franchises.

Basically. What MS is doing with the Scorpio is weird. Casual/General consumers are more price conscious, so they're going for whatever has the lowest price tag and the Scorpio will most definitely not be cheap. Core gamers are more informed and will realize that they can play Microsoft's games on PC without needing to pay $60/yr for multiplayer. And lastly, VR. You have to get the Scorpio in order to use Oculus while you don't necessarily need the Neo for PSVR (unless you want prettier graphics).

I still got a Oculus Rift DK2 so I am not looking for upgrades in VR anyways.

That basically seems like the direction we are heading in, with play anywhere (PC/XB1) and everything else they are doing.
My guess is that if there is a next Xbox, it might just be a standard PC spec even running Windows.

Yeah, I just saw. How is the CV1? I looked up the specs and it has a higher res than the DK2. The DK2 was such an improvement over the DK1 (I had at one point) I am excited to try the CV1. I am looking into getting a vive once a wireless version comes out in possibly 1-3 years.

I love it.  It's my first time with VR.
