Watch the video. He says it was at dusk. Also, it's probably not like you'll absolutely never see a freaker during the day.

Demo was too scripted for my tastes. Though, depending on how strong the narrative is, I wouldn't mind a linear zombie story game. Well have Dead Rising for mayhem, and State of Decay for survival and coop elements.

Days Gone is downright stunning as an open world "zombie" game

QuoteTake, for instance, the hordes of freakers seen in the demo. That horde is unique to Days Gone. It, and the open world nature of the game coupled with Deacon's bike, are sort of what Bend's hoping really sets their game apart from other zombie-like experiences. That horde will follow you indefinitely if you keep the right distance between it and yourself. Say you want to take out another human gang's camp. Have that horde follow you and drag them all the way to your rival's camp. The horde seeks the bigger target and does your work for you.

It's a full out open-world game?
Is there like a story?

I heard about the second thing. They follow you forever if you don't go too far away from them. You can drag them to a group on enemies and they will automatically attack the more numerous targets. So you can use them to sabotage your enemies.

Honestly I thought it looked pretty awesome but I am not fatigued by zombie type games.

guess they arent sure yet and dont want to set a date. though this pretty much tells us they are aiming for a holiday release, and if they need more time they would just delay it.
