I really feel like the announcement of Scorpio now was to try and offset the lacking games. Like, they knew this conference had little punch to it.

Raven

Oh, two years later and we've still not seen any actual gameplay of Crackdown 3.

the next time we see crackdown 3, itll be running on scorpio cuase the xb1 version will look like dog

But hey they didn't show anything that made jealous of not owning an Xbox, so now I can start getting hyped for Sonys showing without worry. :P

Yeah, now you mention it, where the heck is Crackdown??

I mean really when you think about it that's exactly what they did. "Hey! Get this slim version of a console you likely already own for $300 so you can replace it a year and a half from now for $500 or so!"

Dr. Pezus

I don't get why they announce this now when it's going to be released late last year. They just killed XB1 sales

So Ms had done nothing but copy and steal. Their scorpio announcement of we built the console that developers wanted, copied from sony to custom xbox controllers stolen from the small companies that have been doing it for years.

This is true. There were no big announcements. Scorpio was probably the biggest and that's saying something.

If Sony announce one or two big games then they'll beat this by default.

Going by May NPD, the XB1 had a very bad month and it was devalued like crazy with the insane deals.

Microsoft announced Scorpio now because they needed something. Their conference needed something. Their fans needed something. Even though they've basically been told that the box they bought or buy is little more than a poor man's PC that can't even play a lot of PC games.
