Man Nier is looking so much better than Scalebound that it's not even funny  :-X

Scalebound looks like Platinum being pushed to do a game way bigger than they are equipped to handle, probably with MS infering a lot with decisions to for instance prioritze graphics over 60fps and the whole campaign coop thing screams MS as well.

Nier looks like it has a way smaller budget but what we've seen so far looks way more like a Platinum game.

I'm actually kinda nervous about anything made by Platinum. They got stretched very fudgy thin there for awhile and if I'm being honest, Bayonetta is the only thing they did that was awesome. They came up with a great formula and made it work for two games. Lately, Platinum hasn't been putting out anything really worth it. Their last four releases have been mediocre or straight garbage. I think both Scalebound and Nier will suffer for how packed their development schedule was. At one point they were working on at least 5 games simultaneously. That's a lot of projects for a 200 person studio.

Jury is still out on how Nier will be story-wise. However, the combat is very fluid and the music from that boss battle footage was top notch. For a 1080p 60fps game, the visuals actually look very good.

Scalebound looks extremely rough. The combat was underwhelming and derivative (seriously, that bow was useless). The protagonist sounded annoying.

The huge kicker is that the Nier team is a bunch of newcomers while Scalebound is being made by the "A" team backed by MS money.

bolded: Probably pretty crazy and in need of multiple playthroughs to get the full picture.
