Expanded the studio. One project has been in development for awhile and it's with a "new partner". So, not Microsoft this time. The second project is in its early stages. Neither project is an Alan Wake game. They will not be at E3 or Gamescom this year.

Remedy working on two new, big games, neither are Alan Wake | Polygon

Interesting. Remedy's partner for their next game doesn't want to be announced yet.

Ha if that one game is from Sony, so many fanboys are going to start considering Remedy a great studio  ::)

Likewise, so many fanboys are going to shame on Remedy and say Quantum Break is proof they're not good anymore.  ::)

One team = 7 years per game
Two teams = ???

They claimed to have expanded and the second game is in the early stages. I imagine their first game will take the majority of their attention. They never said the split was even. Also, to be fair, Quantum Break didn't take THAT long. It was announced too early.

QB started right after Alan Wake for 360... they possible started it in 2010/2011.

After Alan Wake they did its stand alone expansion, An American Nightmare, which released in 2012. Quantum Break didn't start development until roughly around the time that released. At most, Quantum Break was in development for around 4 years.

Actually, An American Nightmare wasn't as much an expansion as it was a spinoff.

Ms can keep them. Their games don't appeal to me

meh.  i never thought alan wake looked bad it was just one of those games that justifies owning a system not tempts me to buy a system.  if their next game is on ps4 i'll be interested enough to at least consider it.  QB's gameplay looked pretty good even if the "live action cut scenes" looked terrible.  i think that is a fallout of the original vision for the xbox and remedy's roll as a MS partner moreso than a black mark on remedy itself.

but yes,.. the fanboy tears will be delicious.

Well if they managed to afford this then QB can't have done that badly

Microsoft paid for it up front. The only money they probably made extra is if they hit certain milestones.

Yeah 3rd party devs are fine if a game flops. Hard part is that they're less likely to find publishers for future games.

Since this publisher signed them before QB released, it's unrelated to the game's sales.

Ludicrous Speed

Good. The more Remedy games the more better.
