Sure, but even that doesn't really tell you anything about the game (at least nothing that's immediately clear) and Horizon Zero Dawn just sounds like random words thrown together.

Dead Don't Ride as a name, assuming that game doesn't turn into something entirely different, actually tells you something about the game it's attached to, as such I think it's a pretty good name.

i remember a lot of people dismissed The Last of Us before it was known to be a ND game just because the name was shaming lol.

but i agree, i dont like the name Dead Don't Ride, but i will guess we will see how it turns out, cant just a game just based on its name. unless its name is joker of the orient.

Aside from the open world theme the name Dead Don't Ride hints at all of these things, that's why I think it's a decent name, you can easily build a mental bridge between the game and its name.

As of this point in time (maybe the final game will be better at making that connection) you would have to do some real mental gymnastics to make a connection between the name Horizon Zero Dawn and the game it's attached to. Same with Horizon pretty much, but that at least has the advantage of being a word that sounds cool especially to non-native speakers, I think, without having 2 other words with no apparent connection bringing the whole composition down.

Horizon Zero Dawn as of now though is a way worse title than Dead Don't Ride imo.

Sure, but coolness isn't the only thing that makes a title good.

And yes there could be a cool meaning behind Horizon's title, but there's nothing visible of that at the moment. I mean it's not like I'm the first person to point out how random the title sounds.

The whole phrase: Sounds a little silly but in a deliberate way -> Games not supposed to be super serious

whatever,.. dead don't ride i already think is a shaming game.  it's a stupid phrase and a turn off.

horizon: zero dawn is a title and subtitle not a random spattering of world.  the franchise is horizon and a great name.  zero dawn invokes an "origins" story is being told in this particular entry in the franchise.
