Same NX skipping E3 news from last night, but I thought the clarifications would make it sound better.

QuoteNintendo changes its approach to the show every year. This June, Nintendo will focus its attentions on the upcoming game in The Legend of Zelda series. The Wii U version of the game will be playable for the first time on the E3 show floor, and it will be the only playable game Nintendo presents at the show, in order to provide attendees a complete immersion. Additional information about Nintendo's E3 plans will be announced in the future.

Nintendo UK say it too

No, it wont be the only playable game, it will be the only playable game that is presented at E3, meaning their show/conference/direct. at least thats what i understood from the wording.

if it truly is the only playable game at their booths.. then holy fudge... that would be insane.

their reasoning for it is just PR battleship.. to over complete immersion? wtf is that supposed to mean lol.

Based on this and what we have heard before....

First:  It sounds like Nintendo has basically drop kicked the Wii U out of development.  It is basically Nintendo's Vita.  It will be completely forgotten by the company and they won't make like anything for it.

Second:  It sounds like Nintendo is not quite ready to show off the NX hardware.  They could show unplayable games though.

Thing is, Nintendo has done this with every console since at least the N64. It started with no games being made for the previous console after a year of being replaced and has now moved to no games a year before the replacement arrives.
