I'm so confused.

What is CDPR up to?

Better question is what is the Scorpio's intended audience? Casual gamers are more concerned about price, especially American consumers, so not them. Core gamers can just get a PC that can play Microsoft's games and games from Steam.

Fanboys, ie similar to how there's a niche audience for AlienWare computers.

I'm starting to think I'm the only one here that believes scorpio will be good. Seems much better than all their other rumored hardware.

I don't doubt that the Scorpio will be good, hardware-wise. However, the direction Microsoft is trying to take in regards to the Xbox hardware is baffling. Increasing the amount of flops is not going to solve the XB1's biggest problems, which are the nearly 1-to-1 overlap between its library and PC's, and the lack of software variety. And as you said, the Scorpio is likely intended for a niche audience.

Oh I don't care about jigawats, I mean it's smart business wise. Scorpio might be the first console ever that can be designed just for the core audience yet still get mass market software.

Although now the rumors are we won't see it at E3.

Most recently that Dragon Punch guy got called out by Stinkles.

I only saw a single post by Dragon Punch and the content of that particular post was completely incorrect. I make no other judgments, presuming he trains under a waterfall. Keep me out of your Megatons and Barn Leaks.

Oh but I think this is Tom Warren who's a bigger insider so it will be there!

Yeah not just assumption. I think people concluding it won't be there are stating the obvious but I'm hearing it actually won't be there.
Ive been wrong plenty of times though.

Define "won't be there."

Well, the Xbox hardware definitely needs a good shot in the arm just from looking at the NPD results. Considering the XB1 is likely faring far worse outside of the US, I can kinda see how the Scorpio could be a smart business choice.

Can't imagine the Xbox's problem could be fixed with Scorpio.

Quotedang, House just confirmed NEO, said it will be higher price and will sell alongside PS4 through lifecycle. (won't be shown at E3 as well)

Well, guess my theory was wrong. Don't like the sound of this...

Can anyone confirm this?
