This is the kind of stuff that will make hololens something I'd want to own.

Finally a legit view of the screen.

Looks even worse than I expected, even as a huge critic of the device. Definitely will need a decade till it's mainstream consumer ready.




Holoportation is super sweet. Love that it works on all devices, not just humans ala Kinect tracking.

Yes, it's got a long way to go. But at least they are being honest about it. Sort of. Now they just need to stop calling them holograms and we're good to go.

I would prefer this to be done on the Vive.

i agree, hololens has a ton of potential.  it has a long way to go to be consumer ready but when it is halolens will be really impactful on our lives.  this is the real smartphone killer imo.

Yeah AR will redefine society.

Imagine "repainting" your walls in AR and having it automatically change the color for everyone with AR who sees it. Eventually as ar/vr become always on, people will stop caring about the real condition of their environments.

Next 100 years will be very weird.

oh dang, i didn't think about that.  i can't wait until i can fudge my wife with krystal boyd's face.
