I'm not really a fan of grotesque games like this.
Waaay too bloody and waaay too gory for my taste.  Honestly that would turn me away from any other game.  

But From is fantastic at making it amazing.
Fantastic gameplay.
Fantastic scenery.  
Fantastic atmosphere.
