It is a good game that profited.
It is a family game amazing to play coop with childrens.

The hard mod is like Souls level of hard.

Dark Cloud, Crash, and Spyro weren't made by Japan Studio. Spyro and Crash aren't owned by Sony.

Should probably throw in there that Crash has been rumored to be owned by Sony again. They may very well be making another game based on the number of teases so far. The existence of one does not necessarily mean the other does not. Only time will tell how this played out. Though I do have to say, someone must have done a lot of convincing that a sequel can work after how the first game was received.

I know that's not how it works, I meant it more in the sense of "imagine if that's how it happened".

So they made knack instead of dark cloud 3? Or is dark cloud still a thing?

Oh man. Some of the N4G comments are savage. "Awesome! Another exclusive that won't end up on PC!"

Personally its making me laugh.
"Yeah, should we make Knack, Dark Cloud or Crash?"
"Knack is life"
"He's so right."
"Give this man a raise!"
"Heck give him my job, we need some one with guts and hes got them.".

He's kidding Tacos.  Dark Cloud 3 is not yet a thing.

The game only made a profit because it was a launch game, it was critically panned and I'm pretty sure that even families that played this game aren't exactly dying for a sequel. And Souls games aren't just about difficulty, that's a misconception created by their marketing.

If a Knack II comes out in 2017 or so then it will have to be a massive and I mean really massive improvement over the first game to garner any attention at all.

Arne Meyer on GT Time this past October very honestly confirmed that Activision still owned Crash and gave zero indication a collaboration was in the works. Since most of the Crash teases were way before this interview, it's pretty safe to reason they mean nothing.

I don't buy it
This is Sony, the one who most easily finds excuses to not continue an IP. Sold well, but reviewed not that good? RIP. Reviewed well but sold poorly? RIP. Mediocre on both accounts? RIP. Reviewed well but gamers didn't connect? RIP. Reviewed poorly but has a dedicated following? RIP.
Knack reviewed horribly and didn't sell well. I'm sure it sold enough to not lose money but "only" breaking even + bad reception across the board = RIP for Sony. They didn't make a sequel for Heavenly Sword, it looks like they won't make one for Tearaway, The Order, Freedom Wars/Soul Sacrifice, Puppeteer, etc etc, they sure as hell aren't going to make one for Knack. We're lucky enough GR is getting one. That's almost miracle-tier for Sony.

Could just be hiding the game's real identity.

Sony saw all those Knack Army avatars and used that as a metric for the game's popularity.
 Verendus, you planned it all!

Don't worry, friend.
This is all a lie. That person is obviously working on something else, but has accidentally listed Knack for some unexplainable reason.

I knew it!

I left the question mark there for a reason!

They should call it "Knick Knack".
