Doing weird things on autopilot

So, most of the time I'll be doing something while thinking about something else.  
It's like autopilot.  Just flip a switch, autopilot does something, maybe I'm singing, or making lunch, or something else.
Then I'm in the back of my mind thinking about something else.

But sometimes, my autopilot messes up.  

This one time, my autopilot was making lunch.  While I was thinking about school (or something).  
I very often have hamburgers and a glass of milk, and some other stuff.
My autopilot messed up, and I ended up pouring milk on my hamburger.  


Anyway, do you have an autopilot?  Did you do any weird things?

yes, and specifically while driving.   My son is usually the one to snap me out of it with a "where are we going... this isnt the way.."  

if im on a street that i drive on a daily routine, but at a different time,  out of habit i auto drive to one of those locations instead of where im supposed to be going.

lol yup thats essentially how it is,  although hes sometimes quicker and will catch me as i make the wrong turn lol

I do that a lot when I'm asked to do something. Will just hear part of the command and autopilot goes to work.
