PD is working on motorcycles for a time already.
Everybody is expecting some GT game add them.

called it. It's like prologue in the sense that it's a smaller game to prepare for GT7, but obviously a lot bigger than a prologue

And they want it to sell more than prologue ;)

I'd wait for confirmation from PD.

They have enough pre made high end tracks and cars it could already be bigger than forza 6. As far as content goes.

Well GT5 Prologue sold really well considering it cost $40 and that it didn't have that much content (almost 5.5m)

Hope it's true.  If they sell 4m copies of Sport at an average price of 40$ (it will launch at 6) that's 160m in revenue.

Digital will probably be 20% and that's 100% profit to Sony.  when you take their revenue split from retail you're looking at quite the fund.  Basically Sony is paying for GT7 and then some with this.

That means GT7 will be quite the money maker in 2017/18.

Smart business move.

Digital sales are not 100% profit for Sony... there are a lot behind that... it just eliminates the retail/distributor part... the costs to hold a digital download (servers, brandwidth, etc) to million users is way high than the cost to create the physical media for example.

I agree there are costs but I highly doubt it's more expensive than physical media.  Otherwise they'd be losing a shame load from ps plus.

That is the exactly reason Plus is required now for online play.
Part of digital game sales goes to server infrastructures.
