Will they ever again announce hardware numbers in any capacity?

I will be worried if I sink to weazel levels. Thanks for looking out, friend.

edit, maximus if you ever wanna add some substance to your post and back it up with something other than insults feel free to. What philosophy shift happens with this news that is bad for Xbox gamers? Is this the bitter end of Xbox One support? :( Are third parties abandoning? :(

Nope and nope. Long term MS is still going to position Xbox as a service instead of a piece of plastic. And hopefully sooner rather than later, this gen of consoles is weak. Nothing changed for actual gamers.
As you told the mods on chartz you wanted a clean slate because you'd become a joke on that account.  Sadly it wasn't intentional as you now claim.

I feel like God right now,  and you the wandering soul tumbling through the desert at Ludicrous Speed.

I caught many in Afghanistan as snake and I'll catch another as kerotan.

You will be enlightened all in good time my son and you will see why I sit up here laughing manically at those who don't understand below.

I bless your soul,  may you see through the darkness and discover the true light.

Idk where you were going with that and only read a sentence past the relevant bit about my account. I asked for a name change and was granted it. I knew my old account would link to the new one and all that changed was the name. Hope that helps.

I'm sure you are right, I haven't been into Japanese games much since my Sega died and went third party. But I was talking about Xbox gamers as it pertains to this new reporting method with that last part you bolded, I could have constructed the sentence better.

Well this thread got weird.

At least us mods finally have stuff to talk about!

Well, you said "this gen of consoles", so one would assume that you were referring to the PS4, XBO, and Wii U, not just the XBO. However, I will give you the benefit of the doubt.

Yes, I meant all 3 consoles are weak imho. But when I said nothing changed for actual gamers, I meant in terms of actual Xbox One gamers in relation to MS'S numbers. Plenty has changed for gamers this gen. Especially PS gamers. PS4 is worth the money just for the new UI alone.

Yuck.

PS4 ui is such a downgrade from PS3.

PSP used cross media bar, PS3 used cross media bar, even my TV uses cross media bar.

How many devices use Live Area? Just one.

I rest my case.

No one cares what a retired handheld, an old console, and some random TV uses. You're also comparing a nearly decade old UI to something that hasn't even been around for two years. A lot of devices tried to use the Windows 8 setup.

I rest my case.

While I liked the PS3's UI for its simplicity, it was admittingly a bit too barebones.

Well, I know it wasn't the UI's fault, but I like being able to check a message while playing a game and the console not locking up for 2 minutes.
