Well by the way software charts look its probably lost often to wii u in France, Spain, Germany(especially xbo might not do 1k weekly here after the holidays with that ps4 price drop), and Italy

XBO must have tanked everywhere except US and UK during the summer  

It was pretty obvious that markets outside of the US/UK have become "Japans" (or nearly so) for the XBO. I don't think Forza 6 will do much to gain European interest based on GFK and NPD.

I won't say the XBO is screwed yet. I will say that it has become a niche console geared towards multiplayer-based shooter fans and sports fans (which is a bit of an oxymoron because the shooter and sports genres aren't niche, themselves). The XBO may have some longevity in the US and UK, though Sony has marketing rights to Black Ops 3 and the PS4 is now the de facto console for COD tournaments.

If Xbox One saw a large uptick, it probably would have done a better job offsetting the 360 decline.

According to my internal estimates the Xbox One and PS3 sell in numbers at this point are pretty much neck and neck if you align launches.

Update: Microsoft will not be using console shipments as its primary metric for success beginning with this quarter, we have been told. The company is more focused on engagement, leading it to choose Xbox Live usership as its leading statistic.
