Every bundle they've announced has been 50$ higher then it used to be.  After last year's fire sale this year's look crud.

Anyway I believe they are using the supermarket tacket here, temporarily hiking prices for a month before saying zomg look at these insane deals.

If they decide to go $50 cheaper than last year they will be able to say they're cutting the bundles by $100.

Anyway knowing Microsoft and how they hate losing does anyone not believe the current prices will last long at all?

Maybe they really are deluded and believe halo 5 will carry them at a higher price.

No way will they cut $100 off the bundles.

Also although these bundles cost more than the deal last year, they have 1tb hard drive. Balances out to being on par with last year's value.

Think MS gave up actually.
Focusing more on making profit than coming in first.  Supposedly Xbox One costs more to build than PS4, and with how far behind they are, they might think doing last year over again might be damaging.

i think nadella said you tried to win last year and lost a ton of money.  you don't get to spend the profits of other divisions anymore,.. be profitable or die.

Yup. Probably better to just keep Xbox One healthy, and try again next generation for 1st place(in US).

I guess it's time to use this GIF again:

Releasing a bunch of bundles is probably MS's best course of action. You don't risk losing a lot of money per unit sold while keeping sales healthy. Of course, with Sony releasing the Black Ops III and Battlefront bundles next month, there's a good chance that the XBO will not win the holiday season. That may influence a bunch of 3rd party deals in the future, though the Xbox division can't hemorrhage money either.

The good thing for Sony is if Microsoft are playing a sneaky game here Sony have Paris games week to counter act anything they do.

I just find it hard to believe Microsoft won't have better deals than last year when they're so far behind for 2015 already.  Will they risk losing the entire year by over a million?

With the killer ps4 line up early next year they will be dead and buried if they don't win the end of season battle.

Sony won't be announcing a US price cut in Paris haha.

My bet is that PS4 price cut in the US is happening before the 25th(Microsoft's price cut date if it happens)

They could announce an official cut for Europe and the US. Still I doubt it.

If Microsoft keep the current price points,  apart from black Friday ps4 might ride out its launch price all the way to e3 next year.

I mean ps4 will sell very well at 399 first half 2016 with its line up and them come e3 they can hit everyone with a kill 299.

Would create so much more hype then 50 this Xmas and 50 next.
