PS4 price drop in Uk to £299.99 RRP

Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection 500GB & 1TB PS4 bundles for Europe (price drop?) - NeoGAF

Same deal as  the US but has a 1TB HDD version and a hard copy.

UPDATE 18/09: Sony has confirmed European plans to Eurogamer and the good news is that we'll get both 500GB and 1TB bundles. Both consoles also appear to be the new, revised PS4 hardware - the C-Series that's quieter and more power efficient. A close-up of the bundles shows model number CUH-1216A on the 500GB unit, and model number CUH-1216B on the 1TB unit, which indicates both are of the new 1200 series. The bundles arrive 9th October along with the game. The 500GB bundle is £299.99, the 1TB bundle £329.99. As Digital Foundry tells me, if the product code starts CUH-12xxx, it's the new version. The "xxx" variations aren't horrible stuff, they refer to smaller differences such as HDD size. It's CUH-11xxx and CUH-10xxx you want to watch out for. The recent Ultimate Player Edition 1TB PS4 is the older CUH-11xxx model.

This price was temporally in place back in April, but now it seems to be permanently returning. 1tb system is replacing it at £329.99.

Seems a price cut in the US is imminent. 1tb for $399 and 500gb for $349.

Yeah this is a WW price drop. £299 is £50 less than launch price. Amazon has been selling it for cheaper than that for a while but 299+ Uncharted collection is a good deal. I look forward to the BF deals now.

PlayStation 4 receives official £50 price drop in the UK this October - NeoGAF

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe confirmed to Eurogamer this week that the PlayStation 4 will be receiving an official price drop to £299 from £349 on the 9th of October 2015.  This date coincides with the release of the Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection 500GB & 1TB PS4 bundles. The units being sold will be the new 1200 series and will retail at £299 and £349 respectively.  The PlayStation 4 is set to receive similar price cuts in Japan and Asia in October but it is not yet confirmed if mainland Europe or North America will benefit from the price cut. The UK has always been a competitive market and whilst the RRP has been £349 since launch a number of retailers have chosen to sell the console below the £300 price point. In fact Sony launched their own temporary initiative back in April where they lowered the RRP to £299 for a week promotion. This time however the price cut is permanent.  This should enable retailers to discount the older models even further and we should start seeing very competitive deals in the UK this Christmas.  PlayStation 4 has sold more than 2 million units in the UK as of May 2015.  So, do you guys think we will see similar price cuts in mainland Europe and North America this year?http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...ndle-announced

As etho said, the RRP of anything in the UK includes VAT. I didn't realise until I went to the states this year that VAT is added on top of the prices you see on the shelf. Taking away the added VAT, you get £249 which is $386 so before VAT UK prices are good.

Just imagine the price in Iceland. We get imported consoles from the UK and it seems like they add our own VAT on top of the UK's vat lol
