Anyone else get the feeling NX is going to be a handheld only device?  It makes perfect sense to release a handheld successor next year and zero sense to release a wii u 2.

These releases would be pushed back to help the NX sell if it was a console.  

Japan line up should keep it selling nicely for a while now.  Animal crossing spin off,  pokekon spin off,  smt,  Mario maker,  splatoon and whatever else they have planned.

Why would they make poken for the Wii U then?  maybe they plan on porting it to the NX anyway.  The only thing I can think of is they feel the need to keep their fans somewhat satisfied until the NX launches.
