That might work out better. lol.

Here's the painted top. The box is still drying, I'll just let it sit out side for a few more hours. But I needed this so I could start the wiring.

I have to wait before I can wire.  I still need my art and plastic.  Plus my dad wants to do heavy sanding on the edges.  Even though we bought the edge tape for wood.

Turns out the multimax is a decent sander.  We sanded down the edges and put the bottom to the base of the box.  It sits nicely now.  It sways left and right a bit, but i have to put it together to see how much of an issue it is.

Well I managed to f*** my  PCB up at the last minute. I had it all done too but the contact pad for the share and the options button came off somehow I guess it doesn't like to be soldered too much and when you plug the stick in it l it automatically recognizes and then when I press X to select user it moves over one and presses X on its own and it doesn't do anything after that.

When you say contact pad, do you mean the gold for soldering?  Are the wires still soldered in?

Yes, and no, the contact pad pulled off. I have nothing to solder to now. Dont know why its acting funny tho. Everything else should work.

I was going to actually say the pads missing shouldn't have caused any problem with the micro controller.  Especially for the right button activating.  The micro controller should act with an always on.  Which means a disconnect should activate the button.  So I can see home maybe being disconnected and always being held to on.  Not sure why the other buttons would activate and then shut down.  It sounds like a short happened in the MCU somehow.  Was your button plugged in when you were soldering?

Then I've got nothing.  You can try a continuity test.  Maybe something's wrong with your wiring.

Hopefully those are cheaper in the U.S.  the voltmeters here are around 50 bucks.  I was lucky to acquire one, but it does negative as well so it doesn't help me much cause I'm not that well versed in wiring/electronics.  Like I wouldn't know if I have the wires hooked up right if it's giving me negative polarity as well.

The general consensus between me and my friends is the first Cammy or the classic Champion Edition.  I can't decide.  Cammy is sexy.  The classic looks like the actual arcade, so it has history and works with my cabinet thing I'm going with.  But Cammy is sexy...
