Brook PS3/PS4 Fight Board PCBA
Yeah it apparently bypasses the 8 minute timeout.  Hella expensive though.  Probably cheaper to buy a PS3 PCB off ebay for 20 bucks and then buying the converter for 50.  Edit: never mind.  I saw those for 100 on a canadian site, guess I was looking at the wrong one.  :/

I broke my dad's cutting table thingy :(.  The bolts were loose for the top wood.  One side fell off while I was experiment cutting with an oscillating saw.

Saw didn't work out as well as I would have hoped.  It kept on going off track.  Plus I only had one clamp so I couldn't keep the piece of plywood stable.  Or whatever wood it was.  It was kinda like cardboard meets wood.  Any suggestions on keeping the saw straight?

Git good?

If that's not an option find a few more clamps and something to use as a straight edge. Clamp you wood the the table and then clamp your straight line down and run the saw along it as a guide.

I'll have to look into their other materials. This one is very dusty, but it will work anyway.
How have I completely missed this thread!?!?!?

I've used Shapeways for most of my puzzles and could have offered advice  :(

The PCB should be good.  The Brook converters is what everyone in the scene uses.

I didn't have anymore clamps I only had one.  My dad doesn't know where the other one is.  I do need a straight edge.  I need to go buy the drill piece so when I go tomorrow with my dad I'll see if I can find a straight edge.  Funny thing is, the dremel trio actually has a straight edge I can buy.  The oscillator doesn't.  But the wood I was using wasn't cut out properly anyways (The wood was lying around and my dad gave it to me).  Me and my dad sanded it down with a wood file.  It's as straight as it's going to get.  I just screwed up one side when I was cutting.  It was going crooked so I kept on taking the saw out and starting again.  Went deep on one of them.  I was going to put a sheet of acrylic on top anyways, so it shouldn't matter.  Well, hopefully I'll cut the acrylic properly anyways.  Probably cut out two, one for a stencil.  Then I'll figure out the bottom of the box next week.  I'll post some pictures soon.

Also @tacos

Is this the right way to use an oscillator?  I was doing it the other way pushing forward, but as soon as I cut through the bottom of the wood it kinda bounced.

honestly I've never used one. But he seems to use it in the same way I use a cut off wheel. But in the case of your OSB (? wood ) I would have used a jig saw if you had one available.

I did, but a jigsaw's messy.  We cut the shelves with one.  It wasn't a clean cut.

I think I'll buy that pcb. Get tired of my stick not working with pc be caused it's a ps3 stick. I'll stick it in a different box reassemble all the OG parts and sell it off.

I set Ikaruga to download but I haven't tried my stick on it yet cause I forgot about it.  My Marvel vs Capcom 2 stick doesn't work on PC without an adapter regardless.  I have to try with my Chun Li stick.  On another note, I've been thinking of a way to create an adapter for my arcade stick.  I was thinking of cutting up a USB wire and feed my arcade stick input's to a shift register and see what the binary is.  Then feed the shift register outputs into AND gates.  Then feed those into a PSX PCB.  I should be able to create an adapter like that for any console, so long as I have the controllers to cut up.  You might wanna try something similar.  That way you can keep your stick.  Or buy an adapter :P.

darkknightkryta

@tacos so what do you think I should pick up?  My Ps2/PS3/PC adapter is most likely short circuited.  PS4 PCB is going to cost me about 60~70 bucks.  PS3 Zero Delay adapter is 15 bucks.  Or I try pad hacking those Mortal Kombat controllers.  I wanna make a custom pedestal for maybe 2-4 people.  Depending if I can fight 4 players on my pedestal.

Is this just for street fighter 5? Sounds like you'll need two. In that case I think I'd see if you can get the mortal kombat controllers for cheap,  I think they are easy to pad hack. Have you looked into the hori mini? It has a ps3 mode too. It's only 40 usd. you could snatch the pbc out of it, and would probably be superior to anything else. Or check into the mad catz alpha. Actually looking into the mad catz. it looks better and is only 20 dollars more.

Here's a video of a guy breaking one open.

Not just for Street Fighter 5.  PS3/PC.  I want a multi for Dreamcast, Saturn and PS2, but that's not likely to happen.

The Hori Mini has the buttons soldered right on.  Desoldering is messy.  The Alpha is 100 bucks here.

darkknightkryta

So I went and bought my Happ buttons.  The switches were cherry, so they're nice and quiet.  The joysticks on the other hand... they're those poorly executed eswitches.  So loud.  It would have cost me 16 bucks for more switches so I was like "If the sounds start to grate my ears I'll change them."  Overall it was a pleasant experience buying the parts from a store.
