Sony's New Mobile Projector for the PlayStation 4 Revealed | Geek Culture

They went from being a giant, 50,000 dollar projector, to being a 350 dollar portable projector in like 5 months.  Crazy.

I personally wouldn't buy that at that price.  But if Sony can create better ones at that 350 price and get this alright one down 100 I'd buy one of them.  I could use it in my classrooms, whenever I get a class.

If the brightness was better, I'd buy one. Playing PS4 outside and projecting it onto the side of my house would be just neato.

Yeah, that's why I was saying I'd buy this for 100, but if they can manage to get a beefier one for 350, it'd be hard to argue not to buy one.

This sounds pretty neat. I won't buy it at that price but I'd consider it if it got a lot cheaper.

150 and I'd be interested. I'd but it at 300 if it was 1080 60fps.

This is their first model.  Hopefully their second will be full 1080p and a plugin mode for better lighting.

Since this is a laser projector, would the low lumens be a problem?

No, but you'd still need a dark room.  And while it could display a 120 inch screen it's probably best to display an 80 or so.
