So the atlas path is not taking you to the center?  So you can either follow the atlas path or take a path to the center?

I just stumbled upon a r/PCMasterrace thread where people are gloating and saying the game will be getting steep Steam discounts in a matter of a couple months, because it's such a "flop". People are really trying to delude themselves, argue quality and broken promises all you want but NMS has already sold more than well enough that Hello Games won't have to worry about cutting the price of their game in the foreseeable future.

Devs usually cut prices because the game stops selling. Why would launch sales factor into the steam price?

They were talking about cuts to less than $20 in 3 months. A game that sells this much in the first couple days, that's being talked about as much as this (and believe me, give it a couple updates and the conversation will turn positive again) isn't going to drop that harshly that quickly. If there's over 700k people on Steam that are willing to buy NMS for $60 in the first couple days, then there are enough that will buy it at $50, $40, etc. before you even have to go down to something like $15 or $20 (or the utterly mental number of $6 that is being put out in that thread).
Saying that they won't have to worry about cutting because of initial sales might have been poor wording on my part (though I believe that they are less incentivized to cut just because sales are slowing down simply because they don't have a huge publisher that owns them), but I simply don't feel the game will slow down as much as some people seem to hope.

$20 would be crazy unless it's a flash sale. It does seem like the game is slowing down on PC. No Man's Sky - SteamSpy - All the data and stats about Steam games

Plus look at the concurrent players steadily declining. Rather than a price cut, I think it needs a strong statement from the devs addressing the whole situation and outlining their patch timeline. Give people confidence in the game's future and reassure that it's a platform worth investing in. The widespread growing dislike of the devs is crazy!

New patch is out for all platforms including PS4. Should fix 70% of the technical issues.

Cool graphical glitch

Seems like all the stars you see at night are real systems using the galaxy map.

No it takes you the other way BUT after completing it, it will put you back on track. It's not a long path, I would strongly recommend you keep the atlus stones you get tho (all 10)

Without spoiling it, basically a choice your given when you reach the end of the atlus path requires 10. You can buy them but they're like 2-3million each.
