It's a good game despite reviews it's not a game for everybody and its probably not worth 60, overall it's still a good game.

Sales wise I don't think the reviews came/are coming fast enough to factor in a lot.

As long as they manage to keep new updates frequent and quick I think both opinions as well as sales will stay good. New content will help keeping people from getting bored with the game and it also keeps the social media machine going, where NMS has already lucked out quite a bit. The subreddit now has over 125k subscribers and that is before the launch of the PC version, keeping this number growing and these people talking about the game will be paramount to its long term success, I'm convinced of that.

Well reviews haven't always been spot on this gen. The impressions I see are mostly great, some super great, but now I'm talking about the mainstream gamer.

Destiny got similar reviews but that didn't stop so many from enjoying it

Well just went ahead and order it on ps store.  The hype is too strong for me.  

Should have just kept my amazon preorder, but oh well.  It's just $10 more than what I would pay on there.
Eh just got it on the ps store.

But also the reviews are horrible. Only 30% of 1,500 are positive. It seems to be a very bad/finicky PC port.

Heard so too, oh boy. Guess they really did most of the work in-house. So what are you going to do now? PC or PS4?

I think the game looks pretty cool, but I think I'll save my money to get Star Citizen when it comes out.

I already waited 3 days from the PS4 launch. Might as well keep waiting to see what patches/mods do.
