No. Co op like any other online game but your friend won't need to buy the game... of course he will only play the game if you invite him...

I think the "guest" will need to download part of the game then he will play with you when invited but not alone... to okay alone he will need to buy the game.

I might buy this game just to invite everyone on my friends list, so they have to download it then as soon as they join wham I leave the game and don't talk to them for a week, unless they buy the game

Good news... MoonGameStudios replied my email... bad news it was not what I wish.

We will not be able to make this game for PS4 since this is a Microsoft Published game and IP.
It will be out on PC though!

This was the best game at MS conference well at least I will play it on PC.

Microsoft's funding of this game seems standard, at least from an outside perspective. Just as wonderful as how Sony and Nintendo handle publishing indies.

Its just that MS getting ownership that I dislike... seems like they do that sort of thing more than the others. Just the way I've heard these different rules set up with MS seems extremely messed up in some cases, and pointless in others.

I don't see a problem with them owning the IP.

That probably means the developers get a larger return of the game's profits.

MS funded the game, and for 4 years too. without them the game probably wouldnt be. Indies need financial support so its good that publishers are doing that, helping them make great games and helping them grow.
