So stupid to have you pointlessly play as Locke.
Why you play as Locke isn't exactly pointless but the problem is they failed to tell a compelling story about Locke. I can't tell you why you play as him without spoiling a little of the story but you never really feel like you're some ONI hunter going after the Chief to take him down. As IGN said, this story is nowhere near as deep or interesting as the promotionals made it sound. There is no great conspiracy. No real witch hunt. It ends up being a rather uninteresting and totally forced sci-fi cliche.

You play as Locke for most of the game because Chief gets captured by Cortana, who has gone batshit crazy with power now that she found the Domain. It's a galaxy spanning information network that has also given her control of the Guardians and most of the Prometheans. Her goal becomes to rid AI of the rampancy problem, which she now has the power to do, and have them rule the galaxy with her. It's basically Mass Effect's story. AI decide that organics need to be kept under control. Only in this case, organics are given a choice. Live peacefully or die. She's crazy about Master Chief so she captures him and plans to hold him in stasis for the next 10,000 years. Eventually she'll wake him up and live happily ever after with him in her galaxy wide dystopia. As Locke, you're going after Chief to free him and his team. After you do, she starts chasing the Infinity and shutting down worlds all over the galaxy using the extremely powerful EMP-like ability of the guardians. You get away and end up on a world where the Arbiter, Palmer, and Halsey are waiting for you. Halsey repeats her earlier line in the game "Took you long enough" and the game suddenly ends. Weak cliffhanger with virtually nothing resolved.

The two most impressive things about the Halo 5 campaign are Cortana's buttcheeks.

Halo Live ended so I popped on twitch.

Random stream I selected had a match disconnect within 30 seconds of me watching. Completely random coincidence, or are there problems?

Matchmaking is also very slow and looks to be doing join in progress?

Legend

Haven't seen any issues since.

Legend

Seems Halo 5 plays great but still feels a bit clunky compared to Destiny. It's a common response in the gaf OT.

Holy shame that sounds even worse than Destiny. Wtf were 343 thinking? ;D

Legend

Yeah the campaign from a narrative and pacing perspective is so weird and below average. By far the worst of the series, even worse than spartan ops.

Everything is so inconsequential yet major, Locke is annoying, Chief acts like a child, Halo 4's retcon is retconned, etc. It feels like they wrote out a bunch of "cool" scenes and tried to figure out a way to stitch them together. Besides expanding knowledge of the situation, nothing happens! After the very first mission in the game, everyone could just go home and read a book. The cliffhanger ending would still happen in the exact same way.

Legend

reqs are broken online?

people can't redeem or use
