lol I guess I'm just not having fun. I thought I'd be spending loads of time in the Crucible but all of the insta kills are driving me crazy, there's barely any skill involved. Add onto that the huge gap between matches and the crucible isn't anywhere near as good as other multiplayer fps games. Its hard to enjoy the SP content when the loot you get is so random and most of the time poorly executed. It feels like doing strikes, playing the crucible etc. are pointless for gearing up and I should just grind for marks and reputation which is not what I was expecting this game to turn out to be.

I have played MMOs before and had much more fun than this. Mainly because I actually got rewarded properly for what I was doing. I've played Destiny so much yet haven't got any good gear so far

"Good gear" is subjective. I'm level 16 and I am happy with my gear!

each ticket earns you a legendary gear piece I think at the end of the mission... no ticket no reward

you don't have to go back to lower missions to get good gear... really just grind out the vanguard bounties and don't equip a faction class item until you get vanguard up to rank 3... it is actually really simple to get the gear you need if you know what you are doing
patrols, strikes, special events, raid

sure you can farm and get your cryptarch up to crazy levels but its not neccessary nor does it really help any more than actually doing the bounties and patrol missions and actually earning your stuff... all legendary gear will put you at 25-26 level off the bat

Most MMOs take a lot more time investment to level to max and then get the sick gear. I've played Destiny for about 30 hours and I'm level 26. The two pieces of legendary armor came from grinding Vanguard rep and marks and my exotic helm was because I just barely got enough Strange Coins before the exotic vendor left. The legendary rocket launcher was a lucky drop. I just need to unlock a defense upgrade or two on my armor and I'll be 27. I actually expected getting to this level to take much longer.

Yeah I get what you have to do to get good gear, grind Vanguard points by doing bounties is the best way to do it but I just don't have fun doing that. Angry Legend's review pretty much sums my thoughts up exactly.
