Am I the only one who thought MS' last E3 wasn't good? I mean, I keep seeing this around the internet but I don't remember anything memorable, except for the horrible strategy of their console launch of course.
Apparently if you say a lie enough times it becomes true.

I just couldn't get into any of their games they showed.  Only liked QB(was that E3?) and sunset overdrive.

A lot of assumptions are being made because of how last E3 went with games. People seem to have very short term and selective memories. Not only did Microsoft's E3 conferences suck for a few years before 2013, and they blew nearly their whole 2013 announcements wad there, but Sony's E3 conference took a hit because they gave us an awesome 2-hour reveal event months earlier which had a lot of what they would have otherwise first announced at E3. Also, you can thank Thuway for running his mouth about the conferences. He's telling people not to get too excited because of what he heard from Judge's Week while completely failing to realize that Judge's Week doesn't even matter for how good the conferences are.
Yeah it's just mind-blowing how dumb people are when it comes to game consoles.  Also no other insiders knew about the Sony E3 showing in theaters or even hinted at it except for shinobi.  He is definitely the one to trust and if he says to get hyped for both MS and Sony's conferences then I'm gonna be hyped.  I'm keeping my expectations low though for both so hopefully they are both mind-blowing.

The Ryse video was impressive from a pure technical visuals and presentation standpoint. Forza 5 looked good then, too. Killer Instinct and Crimson Dragon got a lot of nostalgia going. Project Spark looked really neat. Titanfall was obviously their megaton. The rest wasn't noteworthy. Dead Rising 3 wasn't that big of a deal save for the fact that it was exclusive. People still didn't know what to make of Quantum Break but the concept simply sounded neat. Sunset Overdrive back then was only made notable because a traditional Sony-focused third-party studio was making it. There was also the mistaken belief initially that Metal Gear Solid 5 was exclusive to Xbox One. Let's not forget the obligatory Halo trailer. The reality is that Microsoft's E3 last year was certainly really good for games but it wasn't "mindblowing" when you cut the crud and take an honest look at it.

Sunset Overdrive was a CG trailer that revealed nothing. QB was practically the same but they said it was in-game. Halo was a CGI trailer and predictable. Forza was fake as well and predictable.

Nothing showed for Xbox One last E3 was running in a real Xbox One... MS didn't had the console finalized yet.

That's why everything was CG or PC running at high specs... even the Myltiplatforms started to show in a Xbox One hardware just after October.

Actually, when you think about it, Sony's E3 was pretty good game wise. Beyond Trailer, GT6, TLoU Launch Trailer, updates on Infamous, Killzone, DriveCLub and Knack, shame loads of indies and The Order 1886. it was a good show game wise, Sony had 3 mega AAA games coming to PS3 that year. and as you said, they gave us a 2 hour reveal for PS4 with game after game being announced. that event was better than any E3 i ever saw.

This E3 will be interesting. Yes, most games will be 2015 games and some 2016 games. but guess what, E3 2013 was mostly about 2014 and 2015 games. you can bet your dog that E3 2015 will be about 2016 and 2017 games too. thats just the way it is.

ok i just noticed this, but see how the Disk says E3 MegatonS not megaton? so that indicated its more than one, and most likely not just an indication of GTA5. just my take on it.

GTA5 will be only megaton if exclusive for any platform... that won't happen so it will a expected and bored announce unless it is GTA6 ;)
