I don't see the problem with going to a movie alone, but at the same time I don't know anyone who has gone to a movie alone...

If I hire an escort I really wouldn't want to be going to the movies

Probably a controversial opinion.

But I feel like Disney (animated) movies are a bit overrated. Not that they make bad movies, but I think there are some other animation studios out there that makes movies just as good, that doesn't get a fraction of the attention.

Pixar yes, Disney maybe.

What other movies are you thinking of?

I think I'd put Studio Ghibli above them.
But you may disagree. :P

I feel like Disney's strong point is that they have a long history, and definitely have fewer lows than a lot of other studios, but I also feel like there are other studios that have higher highs (even if most of their content is pretty bad overall.)

Studio ghibli is great. I thought you meant cgi studios like dreamworks or illumination.

the-pi-guy

Maybe it's just that one.
I'm sure there are some others that are painfully underrated.

I'd say Illumination doesn't have enough movies under their belt.
Dreamworks has some great highs, but they also have lots of lows....

Now I've got almost all of the Marvel movies on Plex.

My Plex is almost as good as Disney+ for Disney stuff.   8)
And it has lots of random junk just like Netflix. 8)

Art style looks changed a bit but should be good.

Finally watched Let There be Carnage.  Pretty good and the eddie/venom banter back and forth is the highlight for sure.
