Nothing really happened and the writing was poor. In the second it was building up to be really cool and then bam! Roll credits.

Yeah, I know what you mean. 
It's like a really long episode, and then it gets to the end and then they just cut you off and it's "to be continued."

2 of them even gave it a 75. 
Must be a fantastic movie though.

Yep.  Fantastic.  Haven't heard of this movie, but my interest is piqued.
